The Tunnel built in the late 1700's is immediately north of the Chirk Aqueduct and is 421 metres or 1380 feet long with a towpath running through it and handrail, but if walking take a torch!.
It can only take one boat, so passing is not possible, but you can see the lights of another boat as the tunnel is straight.
